You may be able to operate Kane Speed Minder without Kane Car Pilot if you have a GPS receiver which works with your PDA and supports NMEA protocols (refer to your manufacturer’s instructions) -Kane does not support this application, and we do not warrant the performance in such a case.

Kane Email with Voice Activation will operate with any PDA running Pocket PC 2002, but is best suited to the iPAQ, where performance is optimised

Kane Speed Minder:

• With a huge rise in Speed Cameras planned this year - indeed doubling from the current 22,000 is expected - and over 1 million motorists being fined by speed cameras last year, Speed Minder becomes an essential tool for the driver who wants to keep within the law

• Speed Minder gives plenty of advance warning of cameras and congestion zones - this helps to avoid the irresponsible "brake slamming" practice of motorists who speed and see cameras at the last moment. Instead, Speed Minder helps the driver to become more aware of speed, and, if used responsibly, can help the driver to modify driving behaviours in line with the law.

• Once inside a congestion zone, a reminder appears on screen, so you can remember to pay your charge

• Kane software is of premium quality, and has been thoroughly designed and tested. The graphics are clear, and the software works quickly, without embarrassing (and dangerous) long time lags. Frankly, we have seen some other software programs which claim to alert against speed cameras, and we think they are of very dubious quality.

• Speed Minder works with Kane Car Pilot navigation. You can run Kane Car Pilot, and you will receive audible warnings. When a visual warning is made, the warning screen automatically comes to the fore. We are aware of other systems which claim to work with navigation - beware! Such systems typically require the user to manually switch between programs, and are not designed to work together seamlessly. Kane Speed Minder switches between warning and navigation screens automatically, wheras others need you to switch manually - which defeats the whole point! Our programs are also designed to continue to give you voice directions even when you are being warned of a speed camera - with non-Kane systems, voice directions can be suppressed by camera warnings...so you miss your turn! With Kane you get navigation voice directions and camera warnings.

• Kane has taken a great deal of care to ensure the smooth running of the Speed Minder software. Take care with other programs that "freeze", especially if working when other programs are active. Such "frozen" programs are useless, since you are not aware that they are malfunctioning - so you may assume that no warning equals no danger - wrong! Kane’s software is designed to run "glitch-free"
