• Kane bike Pilot uses Navtech geodata. Navtech is renowned for geodata (map data) of the very highest calibre, and Kane bike Pilot incorporates all the "navigable attributes" of Navtech's extraordinarily comprehensive database. This means routes are plotted more intelligently, users receive better guidance instructions, and road details are more up to date. Kane has opted to incorporate all the navigable attribute data in Kane bike Pilot because of the quality and performance advantages that follow - we know that many other systems economise by not incorporating all the attributes, or even by selecting non-Navtech data. Navtech invest greater resources than others to collect road details, and keep them up to date. Don't be fooled by cheaper alternatives, where corners are cut on the comprehensiveness of "navigable attributes" - and beware imitations of Navtech. The quality of Navtech maps is endorsed by their use in Audi, BMW, Jaguar, Lexus and Mercedes bike systems. Kane bike Pilot is almost unique in that we also incorporate the full set of navigable attributes as these in-bike systems, but with the advantages of 3D maps, compatibility with Kane Speed Minder and the route calculation power of Pocket PC technology.

• We use the very latest GPS receiver technology. Kane was the first to deploy SiRFII chip technology, which "fixes" location faster and holds onto signals in low-reception areas. But we have gone a step further - we also use an in-built LiIon battery and special chip to store "last locations" for up to a week. This means that your system does not need to keep searching every time you switch it back on, which results in virtual "instant on" convenience. We also think it's important for the receiver to look cool - so our receiver uses a special "Blue Sapphire" housing which also improves functionality by aiding reception. We don't think Kane bike Pilot users should suffer hideous lumps of plastic on their dashboards!
